Cleveland Principal Trombone winner

Post by BrianJohnston »

I originally heard that this was a no-hire. I am now hearing that Brian Wendel was offered the position?

Here is a photo... Is this true?

I would suggest that everyone go out and get a copy of Brian's new solo CD (or download). Spectacular playing, and great repertoire! The first thing I thought when I heard his recording is that this guy was destined to win a really big job. Glad to hear this - we've exchanged a couple of emails about other matters, and he's a really nice guy too! Congratulations Brian!

Maybe I should try to get a lesson before he leaves town!

As a former student of Kofsky and DeSano, I wish Brian all the best. Welcome to Cleveland!
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing! :D
