Manical 4

Post by bigbandbone »

Does anybody know if the Manical 4 are still performing and if their arrangements are available for purchase?

I believe that they are still performing - maybe not right now, like everyone else. I was just surfing through some more recent youtube clips of theirs just yesterday. Try searching for a website or social media and there will likely be a way to send a message to them. I doubt that they sell the arrangements though. Good luck!

As far as I know the group is no longer together. Could be wrong, though.

I bought a couple of their arrangements 2 years ago.

Check their web site to see if they still sell them.

Their web site is gone. Maybe they disbanded. Too bad.

Carl Lundgren, one of the Manical 4 lives in Williamsburg, VA and performs with us in Richmond, VA's trombone ensemble BoneFire. You can contact him at:

[email protected] or call at 940-594-5784

I believe he wrote many of those arrangements. He can answer all your questions. His contact info is public and is posted on his website: www.carllundgrenmusic.com He also sells his arrangements and compositions from there.

I reached out to Matt (bass bone) and he mentioned to check out Carl's website.

They don't perform anymore, but Carl should have some/most of his arrangements up on the site, as listed above.

They are no longer performing together. I believe life, professional and personal, caused them to move on. Alex Dubrov is still in the Dallas area (they met each other at UNT in Denton) freelancing and teaching private lessons. He is a part the trombone section with the Christian big band I play in called Joshua Experience.

Those guys did some good rock and roll covers. But nobody makes a living playing bone quartets.

But having 2.5 millions views on youtube for one video doesn't hurt to help jump start your career.
