Re: Do larger rims help endurance?

Another thing to add, i use a 10cs on small tenor and i don’t think there’s an issue there. But then again, i’m never play small tenor for more than an hour or two. Even then it’s in class and i’m not playing the entire.

Do larger rims help endurance?

So lately i’ve been practicing bass trombone a lot more than euphonium but euphonium is my primary instrument. I’ve been having a lot of endurance issues with my audition etudes on euphonium. I can play for about 30 minutes and then i need like a 15 minute break. If i play the same etudes on bass tr...

No offense, but I don't think that's quite the one, Conn re-used model numbers a lot and that wrap is different from the 88H.

Get a 6h. Or an Olds Ambassador. Nice one for sale cheap i hear. A 4h is never going to sound dark. Don't waste your time or money. Why would you want to? Have you ever tried a 24h? Darken a 4H?

I just got a 4h and its probably the brightest horn ive ever played. The whole thing has had the lacquer stripped and has a nice patina. If theres not an easy way to mellow out the sound, i might just pop the dents out and give it a good clean and sell.

It’s probably doable. You would just need to heat it up and let the beads of solder pop up and wipe them. Make sure to wipe the solder away from you or your clothes, i wipe it into a sink. I’ve ruined my favorite pair or yeezys by just wiping it off and it landing on my shoe.
