FS: King 3BF

Very nice King 3BF. Purchased from Dillon music a few months ago, but I've accumulated too many horns and need to downsize. Has the string linkage F attachment. Plays very well, good and bright when pushed. Recently had a slide alignment from my tech. No major dents, just a very small one on the top...

PLEASE REMOVE FS: John Packer JP136 alto

Edit 5/19/20: Not enough interest here so I've moved it to eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Packer-JP136-alto-trombone-great-condition/114227388495 I bought this new intending to learn alto and...didn't. Now it just takes up space that could be occupied by a new tenor  I thought it was a...

Re: Loud metronomes?

I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these:

I play in a loud funk band so I'm hesitant to add a blaring metronome to an already loud mix. Plus I'd imagine feeling the beat would be more beneficial for me personally.

When I get my check by Lyrics Born - personnel?

Anyone know who the horn players (particularly the bone player) are on this track?

Re: Playing brighter?

Re: equipment, I'm on a yellow brass King 2B with a Bach 11C mouthpiece, so I think I'm about as small as I can go. I've tried a 12C mpc but felt like that seriously compromised my volume and overtones. I do think the primary factor here is oral cavity. I spent a lot of time working on a "yawning" e...

Playing brighter?

I've always had a naturally dark sound but these days I'm favoring something a little brighter. Any tips for brightening up without compromising a good embouchure, etc? The sound concept I'm going for in my head is Bennie Green, Trombone Shorty, etc. Appreciate your help.

Re: Electronic effects live through the PA

Anyone have any videos of their playing with effects? I'm starting to explore the pedal world and would like hear what others are doing. Recently bought an EH4800 phaser and liking it so far.
