Re: FS: custom Yamaha 621 bass w/Rotax

I can attest to the quality of Dan’s work, he was my go-to tech when I lived in Sacramento. Really performs magic on any slide. Very cool mods.

I played this exact horn; can confirm that it's an absolute joy to play! Really clean.

WTB: Used Wedge 100AL or 6.5AL Small Shank

I guess I’m a Wedge user now, so I’m looking for my small bore. Preferably gold plated rim!
Thanks,

Re: Henri Selmer

Those straight Largos are super stupid bright. Fantastic horns! But if you're not sitting first and you're playing in a heavy duty big guns blazing orchestra section it's impossible to blend. Still wish I had mine. I got one for stupid cheap on the old forums about 5 or so years ago. That’s the mai...

Re: Henri Selmer

I regularly play a Selmer Largo (.547 bore, straight version) and I really enjoy it. I had issues blending with a section initially, but I solved it through mouthpiece choice. Makes for a great large bore horn in a jazz combo setting, if you’re in to that.

Re: Lead content in brass mouthpieces?

Hi,
Not that I’m buying in to the fear mongering, but has there ever been a study conducted among players that correlates cancer risks with players? I’d be curious tbh.

Potentially Lost/Stolen Buescher

I don’t know if this is the right place, but I saw this on Let Go today (just to reclarify: I’m not the owner or seller). Is anyone missing their horn? I know this model is uncommon and this ad seemed sketchy at best.

FS: Selmer Largo

Hi! Putting out feelers on this uncommon horn. It’s in the shop currently being gone over. .547 bore, 8 5/8ths bell with small ‘kranz’. All yellow brass with exception of cork barrels. Slide is 7.5/10 mainly due to scratchy feel. Cosmetically about 98%, it was restored at some point I’m sure. I’ve u...
