More to removing dents than just pressure and the force of magnets, etc. Without heat to soften it up, it'll crack, as explained in this brilliant video... Wow! Incredible. The percussionist probably had it 'easiest' if you can call it that, as he didn't have to be trying to chew while blowing brass, plus he could most easily relieve and vent his pain by beating the drums.
