New Hagmann valve? I thought I knew their products pretty well but didn't hear about a new valve yet. What did they change?

Specs: Handslide: .491" bore, yellow brass outers with nickel oversleeves and end crook, chrome plated nickel silver inners. The nickel handgrip has removable cork barrels, which is ver...

I can understand that solid nickel may be necessary in contact areas due to its hardness (handgrip), but in ferrules and other parts I think it is not so essential.

Re: Hulot valve

I've played a couple of them, very fast & short valve action. It's basically a rotary valve, but inclined and with one of the ports on the bottom. As for the blowing/resistance, feels similar to standard rotary valve (maybe a bit more open). Both horns were 547" bore, 8,5" yellow brass bell. Tuning-...

Eric Edwards advised me to install the Instrument Innovations Rotary on my 42B, and both my tech here in Spain (he is also a trombone player) and me we're very pleased with the quality of the valve and how it works/sounds.

Thanks for your help and advice every time I have needed you, amigo Eric!
