Re: An Advised Persons Guide To The Science of Mouthpiece Selection

„I have seen a research regarding FFT analysis of various trombone components and bells, and has a (quite) clear, if not too much technical, conclusion about what the various bells do to the sound.“

It would be great if you could let us know the source of that research article. Thank you!

Re: Conn 6h slide compatibility

I have 6Hs from 1928 (259xxx, no bell nut) and 1965 (E65xxx). The 1929 slide tenon in the 1965 bell stands ca. 5 mm farther out than from the 1929 bell. The 1965 slide tenon stands ca. 2 mm farther out from the 1929 bell than from the 1965 bell. Both tenons fit both bells tighly - no wobble. The 192...

Re: Conn 6h

I don‘t mean the short mentioning in the „joining the Olds crowd“ thread. It was rather detailed, written mostly by Ben Griffin but I don‘t seem to find it/him anymore.

If you want to hear the definitive 6H sound, just listen to Frank Rosolino.
On the old forum there was a thread discussing that Rosolino played a custom Olds

„This website uses cookies...“

I‘ve never encountered such a message on the „other platform“ and I would prefer it the same way here.
It seems that if I don‘t accept, this message „This website uses cookies...“ will stay with me forever?
Can I refuse to accept and have a clean screen all the same? - Thank you!
