Re: Your favorite bass bone hand brace?

Great product. My friend got one and he really digs it. I like it more than the Bullet Brace. If anything is wrong with the Ax brace or if it doesn't fit your horn the Olsens will work with you to either do a refund or make a brace that fits your horn! They're absolutely fantastic to work with! I h...

Re: Your favorite bass bone hand brace?

Has anyone tried the Instrument Innovations Ax Handle? My son wants a grip for his bass, but he wants a real grip rather than a strap style. I have one on my tenor and I do not like it anywhere near as much as a Get a Grip. Alot better than nothing and cheaper than a bullet brace but not worth imho.

I have come to a pretty big conclusion that I need to downsize rims quite a bit. So here is the first move; I'm gonna play pretty different rims on all the horns and switch off the keep-the-same(ish)-rim team. I have a C+ with a D2 and a D3 shank- perfect if you play small horns of various sizes and...

Not to be negative but if you are talking about a serious orchestra career, one of those brands is not like the other. How many top notch professionals are using a BAC vs how many play a Bach 42 (which it seems you think is inferior) of some flavor? Also if you improve a fair amount, you'll change a...

On the website somewhere there's an article where Edward's said if you were to buy X Y Z exact parts then they would reccomend the Getzen. In that case I dont remember what the bell is but the slide I am pretty sure is just a T-STDN as you described.

You're a bass player, right? Get a Doug Elliott XT106/C+ cup/D3 shank, and get on with living a great life. That setup is able to play from F1 to F5 (minus B1) on a 3BF. Even though I play a 106 size on large tenor, the 105 works better on small horns for me in every way. Also if you are used to ba...

FS: New Tuxedo Bass Bag- SOLD

I have a brand new (tags still on) Tuxedo bass trombone bag. Fits any wraps and valves and up to a 10.5 bell.
It's the lightest bass bag I have ever seen, so if weight is a main concern and you know it will be in safe environments (or you're careful) it would be perfect.

For the bass ones at least they are not an apples to apples comparison. The 1 1/2G had a smaller rim size, cup depth, and a different rim shape than the 1 1/2MD. I think the G line is supposed to be more of a Bach MV copy. I felt the MD was better but that is only my opinion.

While I love the lighter weight of a gig bag (especially for bass bone) I feel like I need a hard case to travel with and such without worrying.

It's in fantastic shape and will fit any size bell and any valve setup.
