Re: The silence...

Brian is going to move things to a new server and I'm going to step off the admin train. We've got another little girl coming in April and I got hired by a new hockey league so I've been busier than ever.

My "new" 1968 88H with M&W Valve

You wanna see something beautiful? Like, 1968 Corvette beautiful?

http://imgur.com/a/QJLyX

Take a 1968 88H in time-capsule-pristine condition that plays like a bad motherf*cker and add a modern valve crafted by two of the best in the industry. Enjoy.

Hey all, Got a modern King 2B+ here that someone wrapped the gooseneck in electrical tape quite awhile ago. There are some spots of green growth and lots of nasty adhesive goo -- how should I go about removing it without harming the remaining lacquer? I'd rather not take it in for a full chemical cl...

Buzz - Solder Blob?

My 16M has a buzz in first position on every partial -- I greased the slide lock, the tenon nut is tight. Sounds like the buzz is coming from behind my left ear. Could a solder blob be caught in one the the braces or ferrules? Shaking the bell section does not produce any rattling sounds. Thoughts? ...

FS: 1955 Conn 88H

Conn 88H from the second year of production in very nice shape. No stocking wear, but evidence of bell repair -- a crease was rolled out some time ago, and dents were removed from the bell stem recently. Original lacquer about 60%. Excellent slide, was set up by the Slide Doctor a little while ago. ...
