Re: NAMM Report 2020

I am finding out more and more that Greg’s mouthpieces work a little different on Edwards. I have my mouthpiece from Greg dialed in for rotors so I can get it to work, but I plug in a GP or something and it is much easier to play. And I can’t get a good sound out of the B454 on my mouthpiece from Gr...

Re: Recent Edwards 502-i

I am sitting next to one. I have gotten to play test a number of them over the last week. They are my favorite horns. Edwards made some changes since the early models and I like them.

Re: Ordering from Greg Black

I am working with Edwards now and I appreciate the kind words guys! I am working with Christan Griego but his mouthpieces are a separate thing and not part of Edwards instruments. I still play my Greg Blacks. I talk to Greg daily still but only as a friend. I have helped a lot of people get their pi...

I played the new T-396AR a couple weeks ago. I’d say the new valve is just a smidge tighter blow compared to the Rotax. Otherwise, I honestly couldn’t tell much difference between it and the original T-396A that I played for many years.
And everyone I know says it is more open...

Yep I have play tested the new B502 and it is killer. It has been in the works for around a year now. That is the horn I am going too.
What's different about it? No more rotax valves?
I will let Christan and the boys comment on that. No more rotax though. A lot of other changes too.

For everyone wanting to know, I am switching back to the horn I played for years that I think gave me the sound I want. Edwards B502IY. This horn for sale is still amazing and helped me get many paying gigs so to each his own.

FS: Shires Lone Star Bass Trombone with Screw Bell and Marcus Bonna Case

Hello all! I am selling my Shires bass. It started as a Lone Star model but I swapped bells to a screw bell. The normal Lone Star has a BII7YM and to compensate for the screw rim, I got a BII7YLW. It feels and plays even better IMO than the normal set up. The set up is: Dual independent axial flow v...

FS: King nickel plated tempo

I am selling a King Tempo that has a nickel plated bell. This would be a good back up salsa or jazz horn. Bad lacquer wear on slide and scratches on the bell. The slide is a little noisy but when I use trombontine that goes away. Comes with a modern King case. Asking $350 obo.
