I just bought a used yamaha 321 Bass trombone. Great horn - Crappy condition case.
Has anyone used or using this case? Pros/cons?
I`d appriciate your feed back
Thanks,

I have a Gard bass trombone case.  Don't know if it's "mid suspension" or not.  Works like a Reunion Blues G case with a slide insert inside the bag.

The case sets up with an octagonal plate to stiffen the bell section.  Has carry handles and a shoulder strap.

There is an accessory bag that attaches by Velcro to the slide insert.  It sometimes comes off.  Left it on the non-horn side of the insert.  It was able to hold two mouthpieces, sprayer, lube, and a few other things.  Will not hold a full music clip.

I was able to put my King 7B and a trombone stand inside (the trombone stand on the other side of the slide insert).

I was able to carry it on my shoulder without much trouble.

It doesn't provide much protection, but I don't think any gig bag really does.  It's not as nice as a Cronkite or Altieri, but mine cost a LOT less.

I've  got the tenor version of the Gard suspension bag, on wheels. I think it's great. Very convenient, manoeuvrable and plenty of storage. There is a YouTube video showing the features of the bag.

I bought the Gard wheelie for my bass last year but when I got it I was shocked at the sheer size of it,just too big for my practical needs.

In terms of the capabilities of it I was put off by the fact that the slide compartment was directly behind the bell section and was a real pain to get in.

I sent it back and got a Protec ipac. Much better for my needs.
