Forum Hangs or Errors on Membership Application

I've had many cases of people getting error messages or seeing the Forum "hang up" when applying for membership. Then I find they applied several times and I have several identical applications to approve.
If you apply and get a "email in use" error or the Forum just seems to hang up, please wait a day before you apply again.
