Hagmann tools

Can anyone recommend good safe tools to take apart a Hagmann? I have shaky hands from years of coffee and caffeine and I'm looking for something safe so I don't damage the finish.

I don’t know the size of hex key you need off the top of my head—but you basically just need that and a small screwdriver. Here is the official guidance for maintaining the Hagmann valve:

http://www.trombone.ch/EN/maintenance.html

Note that you will not have to whack it with anything to disassemble the valve as you do on a standard rotor. Once you pull off the valve cap (it’s a press-fit; it does not screw on/off) and detach the disc labeled “B” in the first photo from the spindle, the valve core will just slide out.

You need a 2mm hex key/Allen wrench. Make sure you use a metric, 2mm hex key and not an imperial 5/64 one, otherwise you might damage the screwheads. As far as I recall that's all you need but depending on the linkage you might need a screwdriver for that (mine had dual socket screws that took either the hex key or a flathead screwdriver).
