These guys don't seem nearly as popular as they should be.

I dont't know much about balkan fusion but you can't argue with those grooves can you? I know some tuba players who should listen really closely to ambassador (I'm very sorry but i had to). I'm sure they'd learn a lot.

They made their album freely available too. I don't know if that's neccesarily the smartest move but hey, it's convinient.

At 1:57 the raccoon gets the bungee off my garbage can, I think, and at 3:16 his friends arrive and the party is on.

Nice Balkan music.  I especially liked seeing the Truba (a Helicon-like instrument that is a normal bass voice in Balkan  bands).

Jacob Garchik had a similar group with a name like "Slavic Soul Party" and did a little tour.  I missed his visit to Manchester NH and hope he comes back again some time.

Probably because it overrides everybody else.

So it is recorded in isolation, like the drums, as they require different processing than the horn line.

In addition to typical compression etc. the tuba sounds like it has an octave effect on it.
