Differences between Benge 190f & 165f

Was it more than the valve wrap?

I have a 190C. The C is because it has a removable open wrap f-valve. I do not think there are any 165C- models.

I have not heard of any other difference than the 190 has an open wrap and the 165 don't. I'm also interested. What about the valve?

I'm pretty sure there are more differences. I've never liked the way the 165 played or sounded. The 190 seems to be much better.

From what I could learn from searching the internet, the 165 was considered an intermediate model, but I wasn't sure if that was simply marketing hype (closed vs open wrap).

The 165f was originally a pro model. I have owned both and found the 165f played very similar to an Elkhart 88h with a much better valve. My 190f did have as good of a bell than either of my 165’s.
