Herb Bruse Customs

Post by jackyjazz »

After reading about the M&W horns, It got me thinking about other boutique makers. Has anyone played a Herb
Bruse custom trombone? I saw one for sale and had some questions. Thanks.

I know Herb and have played his horns. I work in a Big band where 2 guys play Herb Horns , In fact Herb will be subbing Friday Night with the Band.
His horns speak and play very quickly and freely. and have a beautiful upper range
They are well made and he will work with you so you get what you want.

Seems like it.. the horn arrived today at my mom's place. I'm not going by there till Monday though. He was very personable and seemed upright.. took my offer for $200 or so off.
I can let you know more when I see the horn but not to worried.

I have a Herb Bruce horn in new condition for sale right now. It plays a lot like a Lawler. Lots of cool details. Really good flexible jazz horn that will do whatever you want.
