Can any of the fine Swedes on this forum tell me why so many great BIS CDs have "Gymnasium" listed as the place where they were recorded?

This must be some kind of seriously awesome gym!

Gymnasium is a school of High School level (in American terms) across Europe.  This one probably has a nice auditorium where they can make good recordings.  It probably also has sports facilities and workout rooms Image

BIS has recorded at least 23 chamber music CDs there, if not more. That's gotta be some kind of amazing grammar school.

The Swedish gymnasium is for students from 16 years of age, mostly for three years. Many gymnasium have a very good music education, and often a very good "aula" with nice acoustic. Danderyds aula is famous for that.
