Does anyone know who the first trombone was in the Berlin Phil. in 1966? More specifically, in the Deutsche Grammophon recording of Bolero under Karajan of the same year?

I'm heading to Martin Göß's birthday in 2 weeks. He was playing a fair amount in Berlin Phil at the time so should be able to say if no one beats me to it.

The principal trombonists were Karl-Heinz Duse-Utesch and Johann Doms.

Was Doms there in 66? Seems quite early to me. Can't be sure though.

"On September 1, 1950, Doms became first Solo trombonist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1981, he preferred to step down to the second chair and in August 1987 he decided to retire from the orchestra."

I alwyas presumed that Doms played that Karajan Bolero, but if he didn't then it would have been Duse- Utesch. I like it.
Doms played on a Lätzsch trombone by the way. Duse-Utesch was a Kruspe man.
