Two great horns for sale - Now accepting Paypal

Post by dukesboneman » Tue May 29, 2018 3:36 pm

I have 2 great horns for sale.

1) Early `90`s Silver plated straight Getzen Canadian Brass model. Large Bore .547
No dents, slide is incredibly smooth. Responds very quickly. Beautiful tone. Plays very even & free from top to bottom . Comes with original case NOW $750 plus shipping

2) 1939 Conn 32H. Dual bore (.500/.522) no dents. The horn is in raw brass. has had some repair work but the repair tech was extremely good because you really have to look. slide is smooth (9,5/10) Beautiful dark sound and easy free upper range. Comes with the original case (it does not smell) This would be a great "small" horn for someone that normally plays a bigger horn. It`s Bill Reichenbach`s small horn of choice. NOW $600 plus shippingImage

Continental US only please

I will email more pictures

Price drop
Both of these horns need to go to a good home. They both play way too good to sit in my closet.

It is worth noting that the seller does not accept PayPal and prefers cashier's check. I tried but no go.

I apologize to the original poster. He thought that I was being sarcastic with my comments, but in fact I was not. I suggested to him (after working on a deal and finding out about no PayPal, which I wasn't comfortable with) that he let other potential buyers know upfront what his payment terms are. I think that's a good idea generally, since it helps both buyers and sellers avoid wasting their time or being frustrated by surprises.

I'm sorry if my comment came off as sarcastic. In the future, I think we'll try to institute a requirement that sellers post their terms. It helps everyone.

Thanks for understanding, and please accept my apologies.

I can say that historically I've done deals with the OP and it hasn't been a problem. We met at ITF a few years ago for some kind of transaction but I can't remember what on earth the deal was. :)

Terms like prices? Yes, I agree, it is very helpful when sellers include prices in their listings. Thanks to the op for that.

Pedantic note: "excepting" is not "accepting". ;)

The 32H is a great horn (although I think mine is post-WWII), especially with a Conn 2 or 3 mouthpiece.

Can you email me pictures of the 32H? How are the slide stockings?
