Bach 42 King 4B Length and diameter of braces and tubing

Post by DutchGuy »

Strange question I guess, but important!
I'd like to buy a 'Leather Specialities' hand and neck guard set for my trombone, but they don't offer it for my model in my country. There are other available, so I'd like to compare the tubing to that of my instrument. So, if anyone could be so kind to measure the following things on their Bach 42 or King 4B (straight version of all):

1. Outer diameter of the tubing that rests against the neck.
2. Diameter AND length of the two braces that you hold while sliding.

Thanks!

Without getting out my calipers, I'll venture to say that the dimensions are similar enough that you could purchase the items for the 42B or 4B and they will work fine on your horn.
On some horns, the handslide cross braces are slightly thinner in diameter, but not enough to be concerned about.
What horn do you have?
