Someone should publish a book: "Trombonepedia" with the mass collection of articles and threads from the forum

As to pertinent info, I have no idea.

The Forum is currently down for me, and I haven't been on enough recently due to finals and exams to know whether or not this problem is a week old or not...

We were planning to create a Trombone Wiki, but it got hacked big time (bigly?) and we had to abandon it.

Meanwhile, TTF is down for me, too (approaching 4 AM GMT).

It seems to me the forum is hosted at a residence, and not a regular hosting business? Because I have to wonder if it's in a garage, and it's flipped off, when the guy goes to grab a beer. Never a dull moment here.

TTF has been out for two days for me. I just get a message that says,

"Hmm, we can't reach this page.
Try this
• Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://tromboneforum.org
• Refresh the page
Search for what you want"

If this is permanent, Trombone Chat may come into its own at last.

But I am wondering if TTF is down for everybody or if it is only us Aussies that are locked out?

Nope. Sorry. No wondering allowed. Be content to have better healthcare than the US. That's it. Bye, Felicia......

I believe this to be the case. One outage lasted for three days over a weekend. Mr. Byrd explained that he would be unable to address the problem immediately because he was moving. Coincidentally all the other domains that Mr. Byrd hosts were down as well for the same period. From this I surmised that the TTF host was moving along with Mr. Byrd.
Your mileage may vary.

The standard dialogue to a new poster on TTF with a worn-out question is to "Do a search". Aha! Maybe searches against our clogged database is what is crashing the system? So maybe the same concept of some trombone players trying to play too many notes holds true for our database; too many searches? That or the database is too full?

I'm not sure if frequent DFQ's would do that. But, back in the day, a software board admin did warn/ban people for that. It was considered wasteful to post, without a prior search. Dumb people are everywhere.

Also down for Australians (This one anyway) on Monday morning at 9am, 15th May. :(

If it is not dead, it certainly is dying.

If there's suitable backups, it ain't dying. I've searched the old site before, its kinda regular for it to go down. Still more reliable than Hillary's setup.

Unfortunate, but possibly true. Has anyone offered to just pay him off? How much money will override his apparent illusion of control?

What's interesting is that sometimes I actually get in. And then I can't.

I hope it's the upgrade. We've been waiting for it for a LONG time.

Wonder if Bubbachet fixed the picture problem on here?
