I dont think you can start this process to early. I played for quite a few years before hearing a top notch player. And I then realized my sound concepts where much to "band" oriented. This happened well 15 or 20 years ago and I still think it hinders me sometimes. Showing a young student what is ac...

Haag trombones from Switzerland

It may be a long shot, but does anyone have some experience with Haag trombones?

I have been in contact with the owner a few times, but ultimately I never made it to try one.

Who played one? How do they conpare to the other custom makers or to the industry standards?

Dont forget to look into Yamahas, very consistent in quality and readily available in the used market. You dont have to look into the xenos or 8xx lines, they will be too expensive. But if you look into the YSL 6xx line you csn have great instruments! For medium bore (.525) I would look into the YSL...

At this state I wonder if thats good news. I mean... TC is working great and is getting more and more following. TC will be cannibalized by TTF and the contrary will be true also.

The best of both worlds would be to merge TTF and TC with the support team of TC, the archives and the following of TTF.

I am not worried at all. We had more activity on TTF, but the quality wasn't as hifh as it used to be. Quality on Trombonechat seems high, less "what mouthpiece" and "slide o mix" threads.

So far I like it. Of course more activity would always be better, but not when quality decreases.
