Too good to be true

Been looking at Trombones to purchase.
Every once in a while seeing one where the price looks too good to be true.
Is there a place I can check serial numbers to see if it may have been stolen?

FS: Reunion Blues SF Black Cordura "G" Style Bass Bag

In really nice shape. Very lightweight bag for hauling around your bass bone. Fits up to at least a 10 inch bell. I can't say for anyone who has a 10.5 inch bell. Fits Thayers just fine so I'm assuming any smaller valve set would be fine as well. Asking $185 plus shipping.
