Ummmmmm I seriously doubt they can do anything on a molecular level. Mouthpiece sizes are usually measured to roughly the 10th of a mm or so, which is nowhere close. The thing is, if a top player likes the horn it's usually for a reason right? I'm sure Joe spent a lot of time dialing in the horn in ...

The GP is in no way a 1.5 sized piece. It is a good 1 1/4/59 size. Also the Reichenbach is a 1 1/4 rim on a shallow cup and small throat/bore. In the 1.5 range I would say look into a Griego 2. It is actually a little bigger than a Bach 1.5 but still fits into that family.

For me they both feel like big small horns (albeit different flavors), and .525 with large shank pipes feel like small big horns. In the sound department, the 3B+ definitely sounds like a larger version of the 3B, while a 36 is its own deal. I would almost say it sounds like a smaller 42, but I'm pr...

The 19BL has a pretty huge throat (.316) for a mouthpiece that size. I think the best pieces in this size are the Griego 2 (actually a large 1.5 size) and Greg Black's 1 1/2G (if you can find one). I'm sure you could make a DE sb or mb setup as well.
